EFT &Trauma Healing

Those that have experienced the trauma of Narcissistic Abuse, Post-Separation Abuse and Domestic Abuse by Proxy have most likely dedicated a tremendous amount of time trying to heal from the trauma they’ve stored in their bodies, after years of this abuse science shows that this causes the body and the brain stress and damage. The stress increases Cortisol and Adrenaline, which can lead to an increase in inflammation and oxidative stress in the brain. This can cause damage to the hippocampus, the part of the brain responsible for memory and emotional regulation, leading to cognitive impairment and difficulty regulating emotions.

From traditional CBT therapy, medications, EMDR to the extreme therapy retreats in foreign countries. I am not a therapist but i have tried almost all the forementioned forms of therapy and while each person responds to different paths of healing I’d like to shine the light on EFT Therapy. I am currently enrolled in a program that will help me integrate this type of healing into my work with my clients , I am excited to add this to my area of practice. I have had extreme success with healing from my own trauma with EFT. So what is EFT and Could it help you?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a form of psychological therapy that uses tapping to help individuals manage and alleviate emotional distress. EFT therapy has gained popularity in recent times due to its quick and effective results. In this blog, we will discuss some of the key benefits of EFT therapy.

1. Reduces Anxiety and Stress: EFT therapy helps to reduce anxiety and stress levels by tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on the negative emotions. The tapping sends signals to the brain to calm the nervous system, which reduces anxiety and stress levels.

2. Treats Depression: EFT therapy has been proven to be helpful in treating depression, as it helps individuals to shift their negative mindset to a more positive one. The tapping technique helps to release the negative energy and emotions that are causing the depression.

3. Relieves Physical Pain: EFT therapy has been known to help alleviate physical pain caused by various health conditions. It works by tapping on the specific point while focusing on the pain. This helps to release the negative energy and sensations associated with the pain.

4. Improves Sleep Quality: EFT therapy helps to calm the mind and body, which can improve sleep quality. By tapping on specific points while focusing on the negative emotions, individuals can release the negative energy and emotions that are keeping them awake.

5. Boosts Self-Esteem: EFT therapy can help boost self-esteem by tapping on specific points while focusing on negative beliefs about oneself. By releasing these limiting beliefs, individuals can start to see themselves in a more positive light.

Overall, EFT therapy is a powerful tool for managing emotional distress and improving one's overall well-being. If you are struggling with emotional or physical pain, consider trying EFT therapy to see if it could be helpful for you.
